Step 5: Double up the layers and cut!

Cut and pinned and ready to be sewnCut cut cutOk, so on side of the body is pinned completely, it now needs to be cut out. As you can see I’m cutting outside the pinned line as this will allow a safe amount of fabric to hold the stitches in place. I’m cutting waaaaay too far from the line in this picture but you get the idea.

Just so we’re clear that is a layer of liner on top of a layer of fur facing down on top of a layer of fur facing up on top of another layer of liner. I’m not sure I made that clear.

The second picture shows the body completely cut out, it looks quite neat there and there are lots of pins holding everything in place!

Next step – sewing!
